About Us:
LoriGND (girl next door)
Lori GND is a member of the forums at Ohnozone and GotApolo. She worked tirelessly to get the fans at both sites to attend the 2007 Nationals in December, and the 2008 World Cup 6 in Salt Lake City, setting up hotel rooms, transportation and interfacing with the Oval on all the fan's behalf. Gregarious and friendly, Lori has extraordinary networking skills, contacting Skating Clubs, Skaters and Parents of Skaters for 'the cause'. The Rocker Fund would never have gotten off the ground without her. Lori lives in Southern California.

Ick. This is where I have to write about myself. (Lori's on a camping trip...sigh)
I am also a member of the forums at GotApolo and OZ. At the beginning of 2008, a serendipitous collusion of varied events got the fans from both sites thinking about a donation scenario for the athletes. When Lori was 'volunteered' to take on that project in addition to the events attendance, the 'deer in the headlights' look of sheer panic on her face said she needed a break. So I took on the role of project leader for The Rocker Fund. With input from fans from WC6 and the websites, we hammered out the details to make The Rocker Fund a reality.
I live in Northern California.
The Fans at WC6, GotApolo and Ohnozone
The Rocker Fund wouldn't amount to much without the people who not only helped brainstorm this idea, but contributed to the skaters. I'd name them all, but I'm bound to forget someone, which would be embarrassing. But I'm going to take a shot anyway, and give credit where credit it due. The 'call sigie' for each are as follows:
Aaosmts19,Debbief,floridafan,JL,Mari,Number1fan,Sak755,Skaterswaltz,Susie,SusanG,Wags,Wildfire,Barbara. Thank You for 'Stepping up' on this idea. (...and if I forgot someone, please e-mail me!)
Apolostarr (Theresa)
Theresa came up with the name for The Rocker Fund, and not only made the logo, but many of the graphics on the site, including the Skater of the Month pictures. Theresa also put many hours into building the original website for The Rocker Fund, but since it proved too complicated for Lori or me to update ourselves, we had to opt for a 'template for the clueless'. We thank Theresa for her continued help in setting the website up.

THANK YOU'S
...but enough about us....
This project owes much to a number of people:
Lindsey & GotApolo
We can't Thank enough Lindsey and the administration at GotApolo. She generously let us use her 'baby' to launch The Rocker Fund, and also to use the forum to rally the fans to not only help us brainstorm while we worked out the 'bugs'- but to donate. Lindsey, Christy and Bella denied us nothing on this project and embraced and supported the idea wholeheartedly every step of the way. Thank You my dears.
Noelle and Ohnozone
Once we felt we had hammered out the details, our next step was to approach OZ. Yes, we're talking about Noelle, the 'wizard' of THE Short Track site - the 'go to' place for information on short track and Apolo. Noelle has also generously allowed us to use her site to launch The Rocker Fund and its 'Skaters of the Month', giving the skaters a second wave of donations. Thank You Noelle. You and Ohnozone are well respected in the skating community. We are honored that you allowed us to post this endeavor on OZ.
To the Skaters, their parents and the Skating Clubs
Thank you for all your feedback, information, and trust in taking this leap of faith with us on this project.
I need to give special thanks to Sue Perles of Southern California Speedskating Association. She really got involved with this project and motivated the skaters from that club to participate.
I also need to Thank Anthony Barthell, who endured endlessly long e-mails and gave so generously of his time and knowledge to help us with some much needed information.
But most of all:
To the skaters, who through all their dedication, hard work and heart, inspired us to do this in the first place.
